About Judge Logan

Dedicated to Justice

Since 1996, I have made Spokane, Washington my home. I was born and raised in San Diego, California where I lived until I was 21 years old. I moved to Missoula, Montana where I graduated with honors from the University of Montana in 1983 with a major in Political Science and minors in Sociology and Philosophy. In 1988, I graduated from Monterey College of law with a JD, passed the California Bar that same year and continued working with a Medical Malpractice attorney representing those injured by the negligence of their doctors. In 1989 I was sent to and completed a N.I.T.A. course held at USD, San Diego, California. After practicing as plaintiff's counsel in this capacity, I was hired away by opposing counsel after a trial in 1994 to begin representing 13 different Cities along the Central Coast of California in matters dealing with everything from trip and fall incidents to flood damage cases to Civil Rights litigation.

In 1996 I moved to Spokane, Washington where I represented 2 towns as General Counsel until hired by the City of Spokane Public Defender's Office in 1997 when I began representing the indigent and disenfranchised accused of criminal conduct. I tried approximately 30 jury trials in that position until I was appointed as a Judge to the newly formed Municipal Court in 2009, a position I have retained unchallenged at elections. I have waited tables at fine dining establishments, pulled shots as a barista and guided blind skiers down the slopes of Mammoth Mountain. I am currently at the beck and call of my still quite active 98 year old mother, my 12 year old granddaughter and chief mentor and supporter of my soon to be 33 year old Attorney-in-training son who currently works for Spokane County Public Defenders as well as my 31 year old step son who has delighted us with 2 grandchildren while selling real estate in the northern part of the state. I also try finding time to travel with my husband and run 3-5 half marathons a season.
